25.06.20: THE WEEK BEFORE THE BOOTCAMP: A Whirlwind Call of Magic, Mischief & Minus Points
A quiet storm stirs in the Young Leaders' realm—five houses, secret roles, hidden trials. Only the sharp-eyed will uncover fate. Are you?
Scene: A chaotic Zoom room somewhere between Bali, Hanoi, and fantasy land…
Ary: “Guys, did anyone else hear DAV79 say we’d be on the brochure?” 😳
Anguma: “Yesss! He said he’s printing our homework to show everyone at bootcamp!”
Ella: “Wait. Like… framed?”
Omita: “Framed and sticker-voted. He said people will get to choose whose story they love most with real stickers.”
DAV79 (joining with full drama): “Hello hello! Assalamualaikum! Can you hear me? I’m in Hanoi with Cloudy!”
waves at screen with a cup of Vietnamese coffee
DAV79: “First—Bali team—are you safe? We heard about the volcano. Everyone okay?”
Ary: “Yes, yes. We're okay.”
DAV79: “Good. Because your work? 🔥 Absolute fire.”
Homework Parade
DAV79: “Anguma, your Goblin story? Beautiful! But make sure the image isn’t blurry if we’re printing it.”
Anguma: “Will double check! I like that one too!”
DAV79: “And Leonita—your submission is super clear, but next time, name, date, and role, okay? We need to know who to give glory to!”
Omita: “My queen and witches saga is included, right?”
DAV79: “Yes! Handwriting on point. Very royal energy.” 👑
Ary: “I did Sharp Traders! With secret chamber vibes.”
DAV79: “Exactly. Sharp Traders in the Chamber of Secrets. I even saw you mention a character called Natalie—now we’ll have to make her real!”
DAV’s Drama Hour
DAV79: “Tomorrow, we record all your stories. If you don’t know your map, your drama sequence, or your talent trail—you’re staying behind.” 😈
Ary: “Oh noooo…”
DAV79: “Yes yes yes. Emma, Richard—did you do the homework?”
Emma: “I… I didn’t know the link.” 😅
DAV79: “Then tomorrow, iPad. Paper. Pen. No excuses.”
Richard: “I will write. I promise.”
DAV79: “Typing is for lazy people. You write, you learn. Indonesian team proved it.”
Shoutouts & Special Mentions
Pendi: “Nice story flow. Loved the phrase: follow my links and listen to my steps.”
Ella: “Great visual layout for Sparkle Sentinels! But where were you when I called you twice? Sleeping?”
Omita: “Witches, wells, and handwriting that deserves a spellbook.”
Ary: “High creativity, sneaky hint of AI, but you owned it. Full marks for charm.”
Aliya: “Strong map narration. Needs polish but confident delivery.”
DAV79: “Let’s add Bahasa and Vietnamese words into your stories next. Make your world bilingual. Culture is power.”
Role Reversals: Student Becomes Storyteller
DAV79: “Ary, you know the process. Choose someone to tell the full bootcamp story. In English.”
Ary: “Sri.”
Sri (nervously): “Uh… okay.”
DAV79: “Two minutes. Act like I’m a guest who knows nothing. Tell me the magic from start to finish. GO!”
The Bootcamp Map – Retold by Sri
🧩 Start at the Talent Board
🎭 Move to Pitch & Performance (drama, awards, risk)
🏦 Enter Gringotts (Talent Bank) – exchange talent for coins
🪄 Visit the Chamber of Secrets – buy tools to upgrade yourself
🌟 End with storytelling, feedback, and a full circle moment
DAV79: “Great job, Sri. Who’s next?”
When Sleepiness Meets Spotlight
Ary: “Purnama!”
silence
DAV79: “Purnama’s asleep. Minus point!” 😈
Moments later…
Purnama: “I’m here!”
DAV79: “Too late. Ary, next?”
Sri: “Ratna!”
DAV79: “She just exited the Zoom. Minus.”
Spotlight on Aliya
Sri: “Aliya, tell the story.”
Aliya (with a mix of Bahasa, Ukrainian and English): “Professor… tragedy… green goat talent bank… tools… Chamber of Secrets… drama… pitch… store…”
DAV79: “Fantastic. You hit the key map markers. Confused me just enough to stay magical.”
Enter: Luna the Mysterious
DAV79: “Luna, from Hanoi, our newest member—do you understand what’s happening?”
Luna: “A little!”
DAV79: “Tomorrow, you’ll join us. Cloudy will show you the story scrolls from these legends.”
MVP Votes Coming
DAV79: “We’re putting your stories on frames. During bootcamp, people will walk around, vote with stickers. Whoever gets the most votes? We’ll crown your story.”
Hidden Clues in the Night
Here are subtle clues woven into tonight’s session:
Natalie – a made-up name in Ary’s story now becomes a real character. Can imagination create reality?
Gringotts Bank & Coins – what talents will be “exchanged” for value, and by whom?
Story Voting – this is more than votes—it’s reputation, memory, and maybe even unlocking secret powers?
The ‘Sleeping Rule’ – missing the call or response leads to negative scores. But is there a hidden way to redeem yourself?
Multilingual Charm – adding Vietnamese and Bahasa might secretly earn you hidden points with the crowd.
The House Energy So Far
Indonesia Team (Ary, Omita, Anguma, Ella, Pendi): Well-prepared, handwritten legends, confident.
Vietnam Team (Emma, Richard, Luna): Still warming up. Energy pending.
Global Guests: Awaiting your story scroll.
Questions for the Curious
To be released during bootcamp as a hidden challenge:
Who is Natalie? And why did Ary’s made-up name suddenly become lore?
What’s really inside the Chamber of Secrets—and what kind of tools can be bought?
Which part of the story trail involves risk—and how is it scored?
If a house wins the sticker vote, do they gain coins… or something more permanent?
Who actually told the best story? DAV said “the system” will decide. What is the system?
EVALUATIONS
Ary
Ary emerged as a spontaneous and lively co-pilot in the session. He answered frequently, assisted in translating, helped prompt others, and even narrated parts of the bootcamp story with confidence and humor. Occasionally scattered, but his energy made up for it.
Contribution Rating: 8.5/10Omita
Omita’s storytelling and handwriting impressed DAV79. Her “Queen and the Magical Well” story was vivid and thematic. While less vocal than Ary, her written expression added depth to the session.
Contribution Rating: 8.5/10Ella
Ella submitted one of the more visually compelling story designs for the Sparkle Sentinels. However, she struggled to stay present and responsive during live interactions, prompting jokes about falling asleep. Eventually responded under pressure.
Contribution Rating: 6.5/10Anguma
A calm, responsive participant who helped translate DAV79’s volcano safety questions to peers. She expressed clear appreciation for the Goblin story task and followed directions diligently.
Contribution Rating: 8/10Emma
Emma had difficulty following instructions and appeared confused about the homework process. DAV79 had to repeat instructions multiple times. Needs support and preparation, but her willingness to join shows openness.
Contribution Rating: 5.5/10Richard
Richard's responses were often fragmented or off-track, and he appeared overwhelmed during interactive parts. Did not display readiness to deliver the required 200-word handwritten story. Encouraged to focus on clarity and accountability.
Contribution Rating: 5/10Leonita
Though not very active during the call, her homework stood out for clarity and neatness. DAV79 used her story as an example of good visual submission, though she forgot to include key identifiers like name and date.
Contribution Rating: 7/10Pendi
Delivered a poetic and mystical story with phrases like “follow my links and listen to my steps.” Although her name wasn't frequently heard live, her submission was celebrated as “cool” and emotionally rich.
Contribution Rating: 7.5/10Sri
Initially hesitant, Sri rose to the occasion when asked to narrate the bootcamp journey. Despite speech errors, she pushed through, demonstrating resilience. Later helped prompt others, such as Purnama and Aliya.
Contribution Rating: 7.5/10Purnama
Purnama was unresponsive at first, prompting a minus score joke. Eventually spoke up, but struggled to organize thoughts under pressure. Needs more confidence and time to prepare.
Contribution Rating: 5.5/10Ratna
Entered briefly, then exited before she could participate fully. No story or contributions were recorded during this session.
Contribution Rating: 3.5/10Aliya
Delivered a detailed narration of the story map (Talent Bank, Chamber of Secrets, Drama Stage), combining visual cues and role functions. Though her language was mixed, she was brave and confident in tone.
Contribution Rating: 8/10Luna
A new entrant from Hanoi, Luna joined quietly and was welcomed by DAV79. She acknowledged presence and showed readiness to engage, though she had no prior homework. Will need observation in the next session.
Contribution Rating: 6/10 (potential to grow)
Final Exchange
DAV79: “Tomorrow is game time. 200 words. Paper. Handwriting. Show up or lose your scene.”
Ary: “Let’s go, team! We’re gonna storm that bootcamp.”
Cloudy (finally speaking): “I agree. Bravo, Bali!”
DAV79: “And remember—your story isn’t just on paper. It’s in how you speak, how you show up, and how you lead.”
What an amazing story. It turns out that you as a team were able to put it together well. Forming a good structure. Quite a unique story. Easy to understand and very beautiful. This is complete justice. It turns out to be the same with the sun. The sun will be fair in choosing He chose both between sinking and rising. This is amazing. I read articles often. It's not that I want to learn in a fun way, I want to learn seriously and not play games. But this one I think is really amazing, complete and somehow the author was able to shape it uniquely and well.
It is the same as a mango tree which can grow naturally vegetatively without any intervention that can change its shape, but it is already very good. However, this is the same as, that the Human can Connect or graft it ,namely plant propagation by combining two stems of the same type of plant to obtain a plant with superior characteristics, It's the same with writing or creating this article. How they can form it well. Will people be adding more space when asked "using the brain"It turns out not. It's the same as how plants can grow, so the answer is because the plant is fertile, or something like that. However, if someone wants to add more space, then the essence of it must be explained but not the basics. It's simple, learning like this is my habit, de detailed, clear, complete and I will always ask "why?" Because that's where I want who I really am. It doesn't mean I don't understand. Basically I just want to learn more deeply, seriously, diligently. And not towards a fun topic.
However, if anyone reads this text, understands it, and has even taken the time to read this even a little bit, and until you read the closing text that I am talking about, meaning in this case is, the rain that is under the umbrella, should be above the umbrella. Although it doesn't make sense, but this means that you are extraordinary. Maybe you like to read, are diligent, d and you are amazing. Trust me. This is a reality not a lie. Because if it is a lie, this universe will not develop and evolve properly. Why? Because lies are not the answer. Na But a hiding. Why can the universe expand if there is a hiding? It can be seen from our knowledge. We can expand and continue to expand. That is the sign
In this session it is very regrettable. There is a new member from Hanoi who was introduced by Mr David. In this session, many people remained silent when asked by Mr David.but in the end there are also those who want to talk.I am very proud of the results of my hard work in handwriting, Mr David and others really praised it.I am very happy, and thank you for reading the story I made with my mother.
